Dear members,

This past weekend was one of the most hectic weekends in the bay area with many music events/competitions and concerts happening everywhere yet our CCC members showed a strong sign of support with their presence at our recent event Sunday. Our hearty thanks to all the people who made it to our event!
Sarang’s great intro performance, repeat yet very impressive performances from Mahathi, Vishaka, Vandana's violin solo, Samhitha, Sumedh, Shivani, Hiranya/ Lavanya's veena duet and Neha's solos enthralled our supportive audience. We heard an array of contemporary composers’, works of Sri K N Shashikiran, Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Sri TN Seshagopalan, Sri Chitraveena Ganesh and Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman in addition to St Thyagaraja, Maharaja Swati Thirunaal and Papanasam Sivan in the line-up Sunday.
Our string accompanists Deeksha, Prahlad, Sahas, Tanisha, Gowri, Urmika and Geeta nicely supported the performances with their melodious playing. Rhythm aspects were ably supported by Vivek, Ambika, Abishayan, Srihari, Akshay Suresh, Sriram, Rahul, Pranav & Akshay Aravindan.
First time visitor to CCC, Vid. Sriranjani Santhanagopalan had very encouraging words about our performers and the rich content they are presenting. However, she suggested that our performers can work on their stage presence a bit more which will greatly enhance the overall success /reach of the concerts. I am sure our young students will remember this as they take baby steps into the performing arena.
Dasha Tarangini, our tenth anniversary production grouping info have been shared to all registrants and sincere thanks to all our parent coordinators and volunteers who have begun their prep work. Our sincere thanks to all the Gurus who’ll be training our students for this special event and request all registered students to be responsive to the emails in this regard.
Our aasthana photographer Prasanna was back in action (Thank you so much Prasanna!) and I’m sure you’ll enjoy his lovely captures in this album. Special appreciation to Vidya Anand for driving to venue directly from airport (after returning from east coast) to handle the video recording and she completed the editing before her trip again, today. We are so grateful to her for doing this task with such commitment and sincerity. Here is the video excerpt clip she compiled for your viewing pleasure.
Please save May 13th Sunday (2pm to 5pm), which happens to be Mother’s Day, for our next event.

Regards,
Padma Mohan
