August 4th CCC, Sunday, 2019

Dear members,

With God’s grace, our August event went well and we were very happy to be back in our favorite mandir!

We introduced three new voices of Pavithra, Pallavi and Arjun, Deisha on the veena, Saaketh on the Mrudangam and Chinmayee on the violin. Rest of our returning performers did a fantastic job making the three hours such an enjoyable time for all those who attended and special kudos to our OnTheSpot (OTS) accompanists Aparna, Avinash, Hrishikesh, Srihari and Akshay Aravindan who did a great job in their roles! Our sincere thanks to the members who attended the event in support of all our performers!

The word commitment and Namdev are synonymous. When he realized he had a conflict for CCC time, he made arrangements ahead of time with two of our lead audio team volunteers Balaji Krishnaswamy & Sriram Iyer and briefed them on the exact needs for our event. Balaji and Sriram have been volunteering for many many years with us in the core team and they seamlessly managed the audio needs with the exact same care and diligence as their lead Nami! Our heartfelt thanks to these two wonderful men for taking the lead this month and the other audio team members who helped Sunday!

Srikanth Mahalingam, Krishna Garimella, Uma Sriram all had conflicts or out of town travel for the weekend yet they all did their parts to get the ppt slides ready for our show ahead of time and we are grateful to Bhooma Srinivasan for stepping in to take care of the projection needs at the event. Thank you team!

Latha has been efficiently managing our membership tasks for many years now and I can’t ask for a better person than her for this. We recently discussed our roster and have decided to take off the freeze we have on membership so our waitlisted members who’ve come for atleast six months now will be offered a membership without further wait. Veena Tirumalai and Sadhana Barath’s work with attendance is extremely crucial to our operations as attendance is a key to gain performance opportunities in CCC and these women know our members better than I do J Thank you ladies!

Barath’s pictures have come out so well and we are indeed grateful to him for these lovely pictures from the event.

We are fortunate to have a committed volunteer like Vidya Anand who has become a pro at videography now J due to her sheer interest to help us!
