August CCC, Sunday 10th, 2014

Dear members,

It felt extremely good to see all of you yesterday at our August CCC event! I didn’t realize how much I missed seeing you all until I felt that happiness seeing you!!! Hope you all had a relaxing summer break!

Many thanks to all those who attended, we had a decent turn out in spite of quite a few members still on vacation! One more proof that Bay area is becoming like Mylapore is that many could not attend the event (some came late atleast) due to the aavani avittam celebrations so you can imagine how our culture loving population has grown here. I think I should consider changing the event date/time next time when such conflict arises in the future.

All of our August performers did a great job presenting items at their level and given the heavy line up with three main slots, we did go over our schedule a bit and apologies for the same. Each one of our performers and accompanists did a fantastic job and it is so heart warming to see the abundant talent in the bay area. Very proud of you Srishiva, Gopal, Sathya, Vedika, Sanika, Soundarya, Akhil, Arvind, Ashwin R, Avinash, Akshay V, Sanjna, Nitin, Shreyas, Achyut, Hrishikesh, Vivek, Divya and Ajay!!!!!! KEEP IT UP! We will certainly miss Gopal, Akhil, Vivek, Divya as they move out of state for college, but wish them good luck! Our best wishes to the seniors Soundarya, Arvind, Sanjna who will be doing college apps soon as well!

Please accept my sincere thanks to all the volunteers who helped with setup and cleanup yesterday. We couldn’t do this event month after month without your support.

Our next event is Sep 14th 2014, Sunday from 2pm to 4.30pm, please save the date. I’ll also be sending out the final circular confirmation regarding Neyveli sir’s workshops shortly, please contact me if you had signed up earlier but do not receive the communication within the next two days.
