February CCC 2010

Hello CCC members, I would like to begin this summary by sincerely thanking Srikanth Chary and Ramesh Srinivasan (and his little helpers) for doing a fantastic presentation yesterday for the benefit of our CCC family. What they had to address was an ocean of a topic and we had given them a very short time to cover so my apologies for the delay in the completion of the program. I approached them when I had issues scheduling the performers for this month (due to conflicts) and they graciously agreed to do this in a short notice and now I'm thinking we should probably do more of this type of events, given the reception we got yesterday. On behalf of CCC, I offer our sincere THANKS to Srikanth and Ramesh. Thank you once again Ramya, Srinivas, Chinmai and Medha for opening up your beautiful home for the program. When I turned our CCC calendar this morning, I remembered we did our last Feb event also at your place and all the members will be `thinking of/thanking you' this whole month, which will be very deserving. Kudos to all the kids/adults who volunteered/participated and answered during the lec-dem. I'd like to also thank our `setup' helpers Arvind, Kannan and all the 'cleanup' time helpers, including Sriram and Ramchandran (and of course the core volunteers Namdev, Kanaka, Mohan). I hope the `trial' of providing only light refreshments was received well in general. Please share your thoughts on this as we are still exploring possibilities. Thanks to Lalitha Venkatesan for her help in bringing choc. chip cookies, crackers/water were courtesy of CCC. THANK YOU ALL for attending the event yesterday.
