March CCC, Sunday, 9th, 2014

Dear members,

It was International Women's Day this past weekend and we in CCC, celebrated it nicely with wonderful performances by an all-girls line up, and all the eight vocal performers Sara, Vasudha, Suchetha, Shruthi, Aishwarya, Ria, Adithi and Geeta gave a grand show! We are fortunate to have talented accompanists in our group and I am so happy that all of them are making themselves available to practice/accompany and enrich our vocalists’ performances each month! One of the first timer guests commented that every single performance was so powerful and beyond their age so CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL the students, parents and their gurus and thank you for putting up a fruitful and grand event month after month, making CCC what it is today!

Sincere thanks to all the volunteers who helped Namdev/Mohan with setup and clean up, we truly appreciate your dedicated support!!! Special thanks to the assigned (Rekha Kaushik) and voluntary (Lakshmi Jay, Vidya Prasanna) resources who brought hot tea, the extra cups came in handy for pre- and post- practice session folks in addition to volunteers. It feels so good to have so many committed people who take it on themselves to come and help out (irrespective of if their child is performing or not) and hats off to you all, you are the pride and pillars of CCC!

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, April 13th (2pm to 5.30pm) for our next CCC event and please remember this event will be slightly longer than usual as we plan to have the Cleveland program dry-run stage rehearsal immediately following our regular monthly event. Also, I believe some of our new members did not receive the Evite for March, if you had been receiving the invites till Feb. but did not get March Evite, please email me, this will help us investigate the issue.

Ps: Please note our May CCC event will be on May 10th Saturday, instead of the usual Sunday so it would be great if all of you, especially the accompanists can save this date as well.
