Dear all,
Our post-navarathri event last Sunday went well and was received with great appreciation from our knowledgeable audience. The line up was spectacular with each of the groups giving their best. We introduced a lot of new talents, Maanav and Vipula on the vocals, Anagha and Thaneesha on the violin, Smriti on the veena, Tarun, Arya and Prabhav on the mrudangam. Returning performers Kishore, Shreya, Vibha, Anirudh, Vishnu, Prahlad, Sripradha, & Amruta, all gave a fantastic performance along with their talented accompanists, which kept all of the true music rasikas totally immersed in divine music. Many of our gurus tuned in as well, to watch the show and bless our performers and my sincere thanks to each of them.
I owe special thanks and appreciation to Mohan for taking care of all the video editing (to include banner, claps, name inserts, quiz, ppt slides, birthday slides, quiz winners slide etc) on top of emceeing for the event. He did this right after returning to SFO from India, amidst jetlag. Namdev (Nami) was his sole companion during the dry run and the live runs at home and my sincere thanks to Nami for his selfless service for CCC! All of our volunteers who help with tasks related to virtual events deserve special mentions and I am hoping to bring these hard working backend volunteers to the front, during our November event (so you get to see them too!).
During this auspicious Vijayadasami weekend event, we launched CARNATIC CHRONICLES, a brand new magazine curated and edited by our very own CCC music students and it contains articles related to Carnatic music and students' music journey with CCC. Editors Vaibhav and Prisha are eagerly waiting to receive your filled-crossword-puzzle images and the winners will be identified during our next event.
