Dear members,
It was a great show Sunday when twenty two of our talented children showcased their music abilities to an encouraging CCC audience. While it takes a lot of effort to coordinate events month after month, it is heartwarming to note that it is helping the young bay area music aspirants to improve from these opportunities. We heard introductory performances from five vocalists(Arundhati, Karthik, Achyut, Niyati, and Arjun) and two accompanists (Sowbarnika, Shreyas) while the repeat performers (Omsri, Abinaya, Ajay) and accompanists (Aparna, Ashwin, Priyanka, Sanjna, Vignesh, Akshay A, Akshay V, Adarsh, Gopal, Nitin, Srivatsan and Vivek) enthralled everyone with their improved performance. Thanks to all those who made efforts to attend the event (even though many were able to attend only partially) but my heartfelt appreciation to all those who stayed through the entire event from beginning to end. It is my humble request to everyone to attend the event in full so the performing children don't have to witness people walking out before their performance. It is heart-breaking to watch, and we saw a great deal of that in our Sunday's event. Also, I'd like to request the 'organizers' within CCC to schedule events (which targets many of the common audience in CCC) outside of the CCC event window so it doesn't contribute to this situation.

CCC volunteers are so awesome, and it was evident during our event Sunday. I had just returned from an out of town trip Sunday morning and walked into the venue few minutes before the event to see all had been taken care of by Mohan, Nami and team! We couldn't have done this without help from Jayaraman, Sriram (who put together the slides amidst Vedika's arangetram), Kannan, Aravindan, Ramchandran, Vaidyanathan and the other parents(of performers) who helped out, thank you all! I just felt that these volunteers could have been given some 'tea' to energize them :( though. Please save the date for our November CCC, the event will be on Saturday, Nov 2nd from 5pm to 7.30pm. Also, since bay area music activities have increased by multi-fold in these past few months, I'd like to request you to save the date for our Dec event also, which is scheduled for Dec 1st, Sunday, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
