Dear members,
Our talented children in the April 2015 line up enjoyed the
music savvy yet encouraging audience in our CCC event yesterday. Many thanks to
all those members who made an effort to attend the performances.
Geeta Shankar, our lead presenter for the March JAM session
started off the event with her JAM participants to present Carnatic Harmony
with the famous English Notes and congratulations to Geeta for doing a
fantastic job. Many children participated with so much enthusiasm and the presentation
came out so nice! Please watch out for the video clip and the summary from her
soon!
Adharsh, Urmika and Harini were the three new vocalists we introduced
yesterday and they all did an outstanding job with their Shankarabaranam,
Kambodhi, Keeravani presentations. Saranya’s Kalyani was so melodious on the
veena and Misha, Gayathri, Ananya and Ranjani all presented Ghana ragams with
its core essence (Thodi, Shanmugapriya, Bhairavi and Reethigowlai respectively)
giving our audience a wonderful music treat! Our intro mrudanigsts Kaushik and
Shrikanth played wonderfully well thus adding themselves to the talented large
pool we already have in CCC! All the accompanists in CCC put in that extra
effort to meet with the performers ahead of time so the children can present their
best on stage and kudos to the parents for those extra planning and driving
around!
It may sound like a cliché but our sincere thanks to our
volunteers who make the events go so smoothly like a well-oiled machine (of
course with a lot of encouraging, positive emotions!). Pictures of those precious moments will surely
follow soon, thanks in advance to Prasanna!
Please save Sunday May 10 th 2015 for our next
event. I’ll send out a separate note with details on the digital advertisements
for the August special event shortly.
