Dec CCC, Sunday 13th 2015

Dear members,

It felt great to be back in the bay area after an eventful Chennai trip and seeing all the friendly and welcoming faces at CCC made us forget the troubles we went through to make it back home on time. Thank you for attending the show in great numbers and encouraging our talented youngsters!

Shrikanth Shivakumar wrapped up the jam session for this year with a presentation on “Composers and their Mudras” and the jam group participants presented the facts and the “Mudra Mala” with excellent coordination. If you did not make it to the event, here is what you missed!

• Shashank’s intro performance of Sarasasamadana with support from Vittal and Vishal gave the event a brisk start.
  
• Srishiva’s Sankarabharanam with Srivas & Shrikanth’s support and Sanjay’s melodious Anandabhairavi on flute with Ajay on the mrudangam brought the audience into the concert mood.
  
• Shasvath’s cute yet pristine Saveri ably supported by Gowri and Pranav attracted everyone’s complete focus to stage.
  
• Aishwarya’s confident Natakurinji with Shubha and Akshay A. supporting her and Sowbarnika’s refreshing Panthuvarali on the veena with Adarsh on the Mrudangam brought additional flavors to the show.
  
• Archita’s bold Bhairavi bubbled with energy and strong support from Aparna and Akshay V. made up for her missing performance last year and Malini wrapped up the program nicely with her RTP in Charukesi with excellent support from our veteran vainika Hrishikesh and Amazing Avinash!
  

Our sincere thanks again to CCC 2015 core team for helping with all of the event day logistics all through the year, and I am so grateful to you all for your enthusiastic support. Once again, we wish Namdev Nayak a very happy birthday as he celebrates it in December with many of our CCC children! We dearly missed Prasanna on the camera but Jayaraman made up for his absence on the photos and we thank him sincerely. Here is the link to those pics he captured with some help from Anand

I forgot to assign someone for the video excerpts (sorry!) so if any of you have recorded all kids, and can put together a short excerpt clip like Prasanna does, please let me know.
