Dear members, It felt great to be back in the bay area after a great Chennai trip and seeing all the friendly and welcoming faces at CCC made me feel at home and I think Iâm now totally out of both jetlag and homesick-ness. Thank you all for attending the last event of the year in great numbers and encouraging our talented youngsters! We got to introduce a lot of new talents, four new voices (Harshita, Anirudh, Amirtha and Sruthi), one new violinist(Tanisha) and two new mrudangists (Ambika and Ashwat). All of them did well and we hope to hear them for many years to come. Our repeat performers Gohitha, Sudiksha, Srishiva, Sahiti, Janani&Mythri and Adithi did a great job too, and our sincere appreciation to the talented pool of accompanists (too many to mention hereJ) who helped enhance the concerts with their beautiful accompaniment support. God bless you all! The Feature-A-Guru segment led by Vid Sri Gopi Lakshminarayanan brought up an interesting topic,ânadais to use and not use, given the eduppu of a krithiâ,with simple explanations and live demo. Our deepest appreciation to him for his time and efforts to present this segment for the benefit of our students and parents and kudos to the boys who helped demonstrate the various nadais. Our sincere thanks again to ourcore volunteer teamfor helping with all of the event day logistics all through the year, and CCC is so grateful to them for their enthusiastic support. They doNOTgain any special advantage for helping out and some donât even have children performing in CCC now (theyâve graduated or stopped learning) so itâs incredible that they continue to support us, hats off to you team! You are an inspiration to many of us around you!
