June CCC, Sunday 14th, 2015

Dear members,

School is done and summer is finally here so the relief and happiness that we saw in our CCC audience faces was understandable! Priyanka Chary, our lead for the May JAM session started off the event with her group who presented a few Lalgudi thillanas identifying the layam aspects in them. Kudos to Priyanka and the jam participants!

Shreya Virunchipuram, Vittal Thirumalai, Gayathri Mohandas and Shrikrishna Shivakumar were all introduced on their vocals, Srivas Sarva on the violin and they all did a fantastic job. Rajita, Anirudh, Vasudha & Sinthu all presented well and included some level of manodharma in their repeat presentation to showcase their progress in music. Our accompanists on string Gowri, Aparna, Hiranya, Gopal, Malini and Priyanka did a wonderful job supporting their respective vocalists. Percussion team is so strong in CCC, Santhosh, Akshay V., Ananth, Srivatsan, Adarsh, Avinash, Akshay A., Ajay did a superlative job enhancing the performances for all! Congrats to you all for a great show!

Prasanna’s photos have become the most interesting part of my summary so here are the pictures from our June 2015 event. He is also working on the short video clip summary of the event which we’ll share later. Please feel free to extend your appreciation to him when you see him, he deserves it for the post event work he does with a smile, every single month!
