CCC celebrated the International Womensâ Day by having female artists in each of the seven performing groups in our March line up yesterday. The performances showed hard work that the children put in to showcase their best and many thanks to all the members who made an effort to be there. Even though we could not fill the void created due to an unavoidable conflict, our performers had encouraging audience too support them.
Shruthi Aravindan, our lead presenter for the February JAM session started off the event with her JAM participants to present some concepts about Graha Bedham and I am so proud of Shruthi for doing an excellent job. Iâve requested her to do a summary to share with you all.
Arjun and Yogitha were the two new vocalists introduced yesterday and they both did an awesome job. Suchetha, Vishnu and Shruthi showed a lot of improvement in their renderings from last year which is extremely heartening to watch and witness. Abiramiâs pleasing âparamugamâ and Sahanaâs RTP in Kalyani were both inspiring for all our younger ones. Hiranya, Lavanya and Shaini had their first accompaniment on stage yesterday and I am so glad we got three more artists to the accompaniment pool now. Gowri, Aparna, Divya and Sanjna all showed mature support at their respective performances in addition to helping me with my female accompanist goal for each group. Of course, we need all our âmrudangamâ boys for the performances to feel complete and kudos to Adarsh, Sriram, Pranav, Avinash, Santhosh, Akshay A and Ajay for their able accompaniment.
Iâd like to sincerely thank all our core volunteers for their support and special thanks to the parents of the performers who helped as well. Mala, Meena and Meera brought chai and snacks for the volunteers, thank you ladies!
