Nov CCC, Sunday 8th, 2015

Dear members,

It was really nice to see so many of you yesterday at our event in spite of it being a Diwali weekend. Thank you for honoring your commitment to CCC by making CCC events a part of your life.

Ranjani Ravindrabharathy, our lead presenter for the jam session demonstrated excellent leadership, dedication and commitment to what she signed up for. Her team delivered a wonderful krithi mala with excerpts from various compositions of Sri. Muthaiah Bhagavatar and they shared a lot of interesting facts about him and two other November born music legends, Sri KV Narayanaswamy and Smt Brinda. Kudos to all the participants for working with her offline and delivering it nicely on stage.

We introduced four new vocalists and one new vainika at our event yesterday. Vandana & Alaap impressed everyone with their confident singing while young Pramati and Prahlad’s renderings were adorably cute. Karthik caught everyone’s attention on his veena skills with his neat presentation. Iromalar, Akshay V, Preetika and Abinaya showed so much progress in their rendering in their CCC performance after a year. Each of our string accompanists (Saranya, Yogitha, Geeta, Vittal, Aparna, Aditya, Shreyas, Priyanka) worked so hard to learn the pieces in short time and rendered nice support and our master percussionists (Sriram, Shrikrishna, Ananth, Abishayan, Avinash, Vishal, Pranav, Srivatsan and Santhosh) enhanced the performances with their able accompaniment. Proud of you all!

Our sincere thanks to CCC 2015 core team for helping with all the event day logistics and with just one event left for the year, I am so grateful to you all for your enthusiastic support throughout the year. I’ll be reaching out to you all plus other members soliciting help for the year 2016 shortly. Many thanks to all the parents of the performers for their help with setup, tea, clean up etc. I found out later that someone had brought snacks for the volunteers too, thank you my anonymous helper!
