October CCC, Sunday 9th 2016

Dear members,

Happy Vijayadasami to all!

Our sincere thanks to all of you who made an effort to attend our October CCC event Sunday. Many concert venues are buzzing with music on account of Navarathri but that did not deter many from attending our event, thanks to our committed member base.

Before talking about our performers, I’d like to thank all our core volunteers who helped at CCC, in spite of their personal/ festival agenda over the weekend, hats off to each of them. Please feel free to thank these dedicated volunteers if and when you see them as their contribution is key to the success of our events in general, especially this past Sunday. All the parents of the performing kids pitched in as well, thank you so much!

We got to introduce SIX young talents yesterday, Anchita, Rohit, Akshat on the vocals, Preetika on the veena and Vihaan C, Sriram Srivatsan on the Mrudangam, all of whom did a fine job. Our repeat performers Suchetha, Vasudha, Jyothi, Abirami showcased a much improved vocal performance and Abinaya rendered a neat RTP (her first) in CCC!

Srivas, Aparna, Aditya, Ranjani and Lavanya, Ananya, Geeta provided wonderful string support to our performers on the violin and veena respectively. Our talented mrudangists Santhosh, Rahul, Akshay A, Vishal, Pranav and Srivatsan proudly showcased their skills supporting the performers. Our sincere thanks to Vidwan Sri Trivandrum Balaji for attending the event and encouraging the students.
