September CCC, Sunday 6th, 2015

Dear members,

It was wonderful seeing all of our regular member friends and children at our CCC event yesterday. Quite a few of them had missed our special Bharata Darshanam event in August due to their travel plans over summer but expressed their appreciation to our teachers after watching the videos. Thank you all for honoring your commitment to CCC by attending and encouraging our young artists yesterday.

We introduced three new vocalists, Preetha, Abirami and Twisha, all of whom sang beautifully. Srivatsan displayed his commitment to veena practice by doing his first ever veena solo in front of our encouraging audience. Niyati, Shravanti, Priyanka Parthasarathi and Priyanka Chary did an amazing repeat performance showcasing their continued dedication to the art form and challenged themselves with more advanced content! Kudos to you all! Our accompanists put in a lot of time and effort to do well in their respective assignments and use these opportunities as learning tools, which exactly it is meant to be! I am proud of each and every accompanist who performed yesterday, Lavanya, Aditya, Shaini, Aparna, Gowri, Geeta, Pranav, Adarsh, Thamba, Vishal, Santhosh, Sriram, Akshay A, and Ajay Gopi. Congratulations to you all for giving us a great afternoon, the time went by so quickly listening to wonderful music!

We sincerely appreciate the core volunteers who help us with so many event day related tasks and I could not do this without your support so a big thank you to all! Families of September performers Twisha, Sriram, Gowri also pitched in with setup, since thanks to them as well and the others who helped at the beginning, brought chai, and at the end during clean up, thank you all!

Please save October 11^th Sunday 2015 from 12.30pm to 3.30pm for our next CCC event! We have worked around various other bay area concert conflicts to come up with this time to make it more convenient for you to attend CCC. Hope to see you all then!
